Scarce map of Detroit, with a transit map of Southeastern Michigan on the verso, published by Silas Farmer & Co.
The map is printed in black, red, green, and blue ink on white paper and shows streets, street names, railroad lines, streetcar lines, parks, and cemeteries within the city limits. In addition, the names of former ribbon farm owners (with private claim numbers) are shown along the shoreline of the Detroit River.
Both maps focus on regional transit, with extensive advertising for local real estate firms on the front map and Detroit United Railway on the verso.
The cover title for the map is "Farmer's Double Map of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan . . ."
