1844 Edition of Moses Greenleaf Junior's Important Early Antique Map of Maine
Moses Greenleaf’s wall map of Maine is a continuation of his tradition of important early wall maps.
Greenleaf's map is without question the largest and most detailed map of Maine of the period, with its importance dominating Maine's cartographic history for nearly half a century.
This is the third edition, published by his son Moses Greenleaf Junior, which has been "carefully revised and corrected from the latest official authorities, Jan'y. 1844," and engraved by J.H. Young & F. Dankworth in Philadelphia.
