Interesting map of Canada and the Upper Midwest, centered on the Great Lakes and Hudson's Bay, published by Issak Tirion.
The map shows the region shortly after the conclusion of the French and Indian War. Included are the Hudson Bay Company forts and factories and the approximate locations of the native American tribes in the area. The map extends eastward to the Atlantic, with a large part of New England shown.
Among the more interesting features are the twin rivers (St. Charles and Miskouessipi) feeding into Lake Meiroinipigon, with Lake Charles being described as extending far to the west (perhaps to the Pacific?). Many other interesting early features.
