The Jerseys, &c. &c

Scarce map of New Jersey and vicinity, from Gordon's American War: History of the Rise, Progress, and Establishment of the Independence of the United States of America…published in London in 1777.

The map is one of the better regional maps of New Jersey issued at the beginning of the American Revolution. It locates battles and forts, and names towns, counties, townships, mills, lakes, rivers, mountains and many other interesting details. Battles are dated and marked with crossed swords. Early roads are also shown.
