Southern Vietnam at the beginning of the First Indochina War.
Scarce World War Two-era map of southern Vietnam, the Saigon region, the Mekong River delta, and adjacent parts of the South China Sea.
The Saigon sheet credits the Survey of India 1944 edition for its information.
Interestingly, and perhaps not surprisingly, some aspects of the map, namely the key in the bottom margin, are bilingual - given in both English and French.
An interesting set of maps from the very beginning of the Frist Indochina War; Fighting between French forces and their Việt Minh opponents in the south dated from September 1945.
