A Chinese world map first published in 1965 and with corrections to 1977. The map is centered on the Pacific and shows geopolitical boundaries, while two smaller hemispherical maps naming the continents. An index of countries with their populations and areas are shown; the population of China is still only eight hundred million.
The map is delicately mostly colored in attractive pastels, with China being colored slightly more brightly and in red. Rivers, oceans, and mountains are all named. Railways are shown on land and shipping lanes at sea. Many other details are provided. In all, this a very interesting and accurate mid-century world map produced in China.
